It's blockbuster season in movie theaters. What was the last movie you saw?

i watched "the taking of pelham 123". not exactly a blockbuster movie, but theres 2 good actors in this movie. the movie is good but with some unexplained parts in the movie.

been looking forward to this event, bought the tickets early already.

at first, i thought the response will not be so good, since the final fantasy concert was before this. (i missed it, too slow to buy the tickets...) my friend told me the sistics webby showed that the seatings were not fully taken out.

but my first gaming concert did not disappoint me. the 2 hosts sure know how to make the audiences high! loooooooved it! even took their autographs and pictures with them. LOL

Over 4,000 people were there to enjoy the day, i screamed till my throat aches and i was having sore throat that day, but the music and atmosphere was too good that i just want to cheer on.

The concert starts at 830pm sharp, took a 20 minutes break at around 930pm, finally ends at 11pm. But we just simply won't let them off, shouted encore, and Tommy and Jack emerged once again to perform 2 songs - Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children - One Winged Angel & Castlevania.

It was a great performance! Even spoke to the music composer for MGS, Jack and Tommy.

Winnie's friend, Zixiu has come back from her Japan trip and as promised, she brought over my desired bag back too! but in a different colour. And this colour is much nicer than the greyish that I intended to buy at first. I thought it will be almost the same colour as my current blue label, but the newest arrival is much lighter, brighter and more cheerful in a way. And the size is just right for me. LOL

Zixiu also stop by fancl to pick up some stuffs for us too!

Video Games Live concert in Singapore - 19 June 2009

Have bought tickets for this coming event held in Indoor Stadium on the 19th of June. The first in Singapore and I'm looking forward to it!

On another hand, I was sad that I missed SINGAPORE ARTS FESTIVAL 2009 Distant Worlds: Music from Final Fantasy Asian Premiere (USA/Singapore) which will be held in Esplanade end May. The famous Nobuo Uematsu will be there as well. All tickets are taken up and I heard online stir fried 2 tickets for S$200. The cheapest ticket offered is S$20.

Well, I hope next year they will be coming again, I'll be sure to keep a lookout for it!

It's confirmed, my sister's friend has bought a Blue Label bag from Japan. I just went to Queen's Ave to take a look over the weekend and I decided to go with the first picture, small one. Her friend will be coming back this week, so I look forward to a new bag!

and yah, 2 of my "freaking rich" friends just bought CHANEL 2.55. Another is aiming for a Prada.. GOSH!

Been very lazy recently and have not been blogging for quite some time.
Ever since CNY, been so tired to think of anything..
Eating teppanyaki + steamboat till I'm gonna puke.

But I started on one of my favourite games on my sister's PC as she cannot transfer the 5gb of the game to my portable hard disk. My hard disk is 120gb?! How can it be? So I ask her to install in her PC instead.

I'm hooked to it. I love the game. You can choose to be the bad guy who kills anyone on sight and become a slaver or you can be the nice guy who helps anyone on sight and become a slaver-killer. Or you can just be a coward who runs away everytime or a neutral person who stands and do nothing around fights.

I love the setting of the game. Post nuclear war theme. Its a mess everywhere, dead.
The gameplay. Violent. You can choose from melee weapons till big guns or laser weapons. and do your killings. blood everywhere. head exploding, limps mutilated.

I personally love to wield a assult rifle or a sniper rifle so that I can aim at a distance and shoot their heads off, or a combat shotgun up close and personal and blast the heads to pieces. The rush... feels good. LOL
If I face animals, I love the use of ripper or the chinese sword and chop them to pieces!

I trying on the path of a good person, despite the killings. I kill only the bad guys and the mutants.

Missed the game already.

Penumbra: Black Plague

my sister has been pestering me to play this game since saturday night. but because i just watched REC on saturday, so i'm not too keen on playing the game. i had enough of zombies already!

so come sunday, my sister bugging me again. i decided to give in to their request - never knowing i'm stepping into a deep shit hole...

all 3 of us are not bold enough to play this kinda zombie killing games. the suspense, the music, the tension, the surprise and a whole lot of other factors in zombie games. i played silent hill, resident evil, obscure, forbidden siren before, and i never get to complete any of the games. all because i'm too scared to move on.
my character walked like the tv is forever lagging, always peeping sideways, always in defense mode - just the way a timid person will do.

so this fateful sunday, i played the demo. with my 2 (timid) sisters behind me. they wanted to watch the game so much but they are too afraid to play themselves. they are good audience though. *chuckles*
the demo will probably take 1hr to finish, but i took maybe close to 3hr? not sure. i was pressing the ESC key everytime i heard some noise or sensing something at a corner. LOL im suck in horror game.

there was this area where you need to get a sryinge in order to get the dead scientist blood so you can get through a security door. behind the security door is the mess hall, an area where no zombies will come near you, a safe zone. let me draw you a rough map of where the syringe was..

the area outside the rooms are the pathway. i'm at x position. i need to get the syringe from the room. once you got the syringe, a cutscene will start and a zombie will be release from the top must room (beside the syringe room) to look for you. note that the hall will be dark, zombie will be carrying a dim torchlight.

okie, so i rehearsed myself - from running to get the syringe and back to the x position. i intentionally left the syringe room door wide open for me to run easier.
BUT!!!!! what i didn't know is when you pick up the syringe, the door will be closed up automatically. so you need to open the door and run for your life.
the moment i picked up the syringe, i turn 360 degree around in search of the door, but it was pitch black and i can see no freaking open door in front of me. i was thinking OMG OMG OMG

my sisters heard sounds, i heard sounds and their screams. they were screaming behind me and i was shouting "where's the door?! where's the door?! where's the door?!" but my sisters were too busy screaming their lungs off to bother answering my question.
i heard winnie screaming to unlight my lightstick as light attracted zombies. when i found the key to unlight the lightstick and to crouch to stealth myself, the zombie came in. my sisters stop screaming instantly. quiet in the room. i was only hoping that IT doesn't see me.

lucky for me, the zombie helped me open the damn freaking door that im searching desperately for. so when the zombie walked out of the room. i ran like mad, i can see the zombie's torchlight when i ran out of the room. i just ran and ran till i reached location x - safe area.

once there, my sisters and i just felt relieved. we do not have any energy left. i was exhausted. the whole process only took 5 to 10 minutes only.

i really sucked at horror games.

Friday KTV + Saturday's night out

last fri was fun! i finally get to sing all i wanted - thanks to my nice ex-coll. they let me hog the microphone for as much as i wanted. they said the ktv trip is to let me get over with my r/s. TQ for your intentions, i will definately get better..
so after sending mary home (she stayed in amk), i went on to meet angela for kopi at bishan. it was around 11pm when i reach her place i think. we la kopi till maybe 1 or 2plus before we called it a night. we had intentions to meet on saturday for a drink at st james or helipad. i prefer st james - no idea why though. LOL

but i have an outing to discuss the penang trip with elita & friends on saturday evening. to have dinner and to plan the itinery together. mervin suggested watching madagasca 2 after dinner. but i have not seen part 1 yet, so i don't have much interest. i proposed watching [●REC] instead. but elita & mervin is not much of a horror flick fan so only mr dao & me will be watching.

come saturday, met mr dao at ard 510pm to travel to tiong bahru to meet the rest. they have reached earlier than us and was shopping themselves in NTUC. we had a quick dinner at BK and proceeded to the main topic of the day very fast.
mervin told us that his coll just came back from penang and he spent a freaking RMB900 for a 3 day event. his main damage is cab fares. when we saw the map and the places we planned to visit. i was thinking in my mind that it wasn't going to cost any lessor than that for us too.

so an idea pop up to me - i suggested renting a car. we have 5 persons, renting a car is just right and it can saves us on the cab waiting and expensive fare. the only thing we need to do is to pump petrol and have an alternate driver available in case one gets too tired.
the gang are all up for this idea, we get pretty excited that we will have a driving trip and started to discuss where we want to visit while we are driving.
tim passes quickly and we have settle that we will rent a car for 2 days - sat & sun. we will reach penang on friday and departs on monday morning.

so the first day, we will just travel in georgetown where our hotel is. i think by foot or cab is still manageable
2nd day - we will visit the kek lok si temple, the waterfalls, toy museum, fishing village, fruit farm etc etc the northwest of penang
3rd day - we will visit the war musuem, penang bridge, butterworth etc etc the south east of penang
4th day - back to singapore!

there are more places where we wanted to visit, but due to time constraint. we zoom down to the "essentials" of penang. LOLLL
by the time we are almost finished, its already 9pm. the movie starts at 910pm. so we say our goodbyes and proceeded to the upper level for the movie.

[●REC] scared me twice. i sort of scream once, the other time i jumped. its a long time since i scared myself. this is the original spanish edition. the english edition is call quarantine which is coming soon. but i would prefer that spanish is a more original version.
i heard the part 2 is in the making, but my sister cannot find anything on this.

it was ard 1030pm when the movie ends, i am still tensed up. keep on thinking about the show, the people, the flesh eating freaks, the story, the unexplained portions. it just kept me thinking. my god... mr dao laughed at me. -____-

angela smsed me and planned for a meet up at st james. its was around 1130pm when she called. we will meet there directly. she has her own ways of getting there. by the time i reached there, it was around 1230am or 1245am. a moment later, her own ways left. so we sat by the bar and chat about anything and everything.

around 3plus am, angela puke. i guess its the conversations that she had. made her drink too fast. so we decided to call it a day. made our way back to my car at vivocity. before i turned into CTE, she requested to stop again to catch her breath. i think my ride is too woobly, made her feel even worse.

by the time i reached her place, it was around 5am?

the last time angela was so vulnerable was 8,9 years back. but she has gotten stronger since. ^_^

naturally, with so many eating outings, i will expand in size. hence i need to find ways to reduce my weight! i can feel that my clothes are getting tighter.....

Well, my ex-colleagues and I had decided on a date for our KTV session!
I missed singing.
We will be going back to the same place again - Kbox for buffet dinner + karaoke session on 14 November.

Can't wait for the day to arrive. But I think I wont be singing much as well as the group consists of some singing pro. LOLL

Its so unbelievable early now - 7:41am

Roads are smooth, cars are little. I came out of the house at around 7am, I reach office at around 7:30am. I drove at around 60km/h!!! If I drove at my normal speed, I would have reach by 7:15am!!
It's still early when I reach the office carpark, so I just sat in the car blankly for about 10 minutes before making my way up to the office.

The first thing I did was to go online. LOLLL

I think I will have to re-adjust my alarm clock so I can wake up 15 minutes later.
